Completed Projects
A sample of pieces that came through our workshop. Each one arrived with a different problem, and each one left with a different fabric, finish, or coat of paint.
This chair arrived with a torn arm cover, flattened seat cushion, and a frame that creaked on every sit. We rebuilt the seat deck, replaced the foam, and reupholstered the whole piece in a deep rust performance velvet. The wood legs were sanded and refinished a shade darker to anchor the new fabric.
Years of scratches and a yellowed clear coat had made this dresser look older than it actually was. We stripped the top back to bare wood and refinished it in a warm walnut stain, then painted the drawer fronts and case in a soft clay tone. New brass pulls replaced the original hardware, which had gone stiff.
A set of oak dining chairs came in with loose joints on nearly every seat and a fabric pattern that no longer matched the homeowner's dining room. We reglued and clamped each joint, refinished the wood in a lighter natural oil, and reupholstered the seats in a woven neutral fabric that ties the set together without competing with a busy table setting.
This sideboard had solid bones but a badly checked veneer top and sliding doors that stuck. We patched and refinished the veneer, adjusted the door tracks, and left the walnut tone close to original since the wood grain itself was the main draw. A small ding on the front corner was filled and blended rather than fully sanded out, to keep some of its character.
Flattened cushions and a stained floral fabric were the main issues here. We replaced the seat foam and rebuilt the internal webbing, then reupholstered in a solid oatmeal performance fabric chosen to hold up against daily use from a household with pets.
